Delegation of civil society members meets Vohra
SRINAGAR: A delegation of the prominent members of the civil society from various parts of the country called on the Governor, N. N. Vohra, at Raj Bhavan, here today.
The delegation led by renowned social activist, Swami Agnivesh, discussed with the Governor the obtaining situation in the State and expressed their serious concern over the developments in the Kashmir Valley for the past nearly three months now.
The delegation also put forth several suggestions for urgent restoration of peace and normalcy in the State.
The delegation comprised Admiral (Retd) L. Ramdas, Mrs. Mohini Giri, Fr. Dominic Emmaneul, Mazhar Hussain, Mohammad Shafi Pandit, Prof. Nusrat Andrabi, Tasnim Akhtar and Zafar Meraj and Shujaat Bukhari, both journalists.
