SSRB flouts norms

Srinagar: Services Selection Board (SSB) authorities have allegedly allowed several candidates hailing from different districts of the valley to appear in the interviews for junior grade nurse posts in July last year despite the fact that they were yet to take the final exams of their general nursing and midwifery course.

The relevant norms stipulate that interviews are to be held only for the candidates who have completed their general nursing and midwifery course. The matter came to light when the SSB announced the interview results in the middle of last month.

The selection list brought out by SSB carries names of quite a few candidates whose general nursing and midwifery course (final) results were announced almost a month and a half back by state medical faculty.

The aggrieved candidates have demanded a through probe in the matter.
