Srinagar: The clouds of religious intolerance are hovering around the horizon in different parts of our planet today. Terror has assumed a horrendous dimension and innocent lives are getting consumed at a fast pace. Therefore, we need to come out of such a quagmire, but for that the solution lies in the Book of Allah which covers all subjects affecting mankind, be it physical, material or economic, socio-cultural, political, legal, religious, and the like. It talks not only about us and our environment, but also the events and circumstances affecting us. Allah says that nothing has been omitted from it. Any rational individual or scientist, who became atheist because of the misconception that the ‘World of God’ disagrees with science, will discover the Truth. He will be enlightened to know that Allah’s Book contains information about the scientific facts of life because it is the Truth of assured certainty.
Furthermore, the Qur’an contains varied subjects as shown in the title of its 114 chapters. The different subjects of the Qur’an not only reflect the very nature of Allah as the Creator of all that exist in the heavens and the earth and the Master of the Day of Judgment. It also proves the Book to be very comprehensive. The most varied and complete subjects of the Qur’an beyond man’s ability to produce, makes it miraculously unique and inimitable. There is no other and no better guidance than Allah’s Book. The incomparable comprehensive teachings of the Qur’an guide mankind at all ages. They are simple, yet very practical, offering the best solutions to out perplexing problems. The Qur’an serves as Allah’s guide and mercy to us. Allah tells us: “These are Verses of the Wise Book, a Guide and a Mercy to the Doers of Good - those who establish regular Prayer, and give Zakat and have sure faith in the Hereafter. These are on (true) guidance from their Creator; and these are the ones who will prosper”.
The Qur’an is the Book of Allah which is perfect in all aspects. It guides us to sincere belief in and worship of the One and Only True God - Allah - a divine universal message for all humanity. Verily, only Allah deserves to be worshipped for He alone is the Creator and the God of entire mankind. All praise and beautiful attributes belong to Him. He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. It is part of His Mercy that He has sent down the Qur’an for our guidance and has chosen His Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the best example for all of us to follow. The Qur’an and the Sunnah (Prophet’s tradition and teachings) serve as the perfect and complete guidance from Allah and the mercy to all mankind. Allah says about His Book and His universal Messenger (PBUH).
“For We had certainly sent unto them a Book based on knowledge, which We explained in detail a guide and a Mercy to all who believe”.
“... We have sent down to you the Book explaining all things, a guide, a Mercy, and glad tidings to Muslims”.
“... Yet you (O Muhammad) were sent as a Mercy from your Rabb to give warning to a people to whom no Warner had come before you in order that they may receive admonition”.
Indeed, Allah is Merciful in giving Islam as the religion for all mankind. Islam teaches truth, righteousness and all that is good for mankind. It prohibits all sorts of evil deeds that cause distractions to our lives and to the whole humanity. It will forever continue as the perfect way to ultimate success because Allah has promised to protect His Book from any form of human manipulation. The Qur’an will always serve as the light to those who want divine enlightenment and guidance. Therefore, it is expected and hoped that Holy Qur’anic Message can alone guide Mankind; pull it out of quagmire of Immorality and Mental Distress. ......................................................................................(To be continued)
